Give SUPPORT

It takes an entire community to meet the needs of the orphans in our city. Not every family can welcome a child into their home, but every family can find a way to support families who are fostering/adopting. Below are a few practical ways that you can take an active role in loving much and loving well the foster/adoptive families in our area.

Welcome KITS

Children often arrive at the homes of their foster/adoptive parents with little warning, and even less belongings. More often than not they are empty handed with just the clothes on their back, and not one comforting item from home. Individuals, small groups, or families can create Welcome Kits based off the attached list and Love Much Love Well will deliver them to families when they are placed with a new child. It is a simple way to support and surround a foster/adoptive family.

PRAYER

Parenting kids from hard places is fruitless without Jesus moving through the foster/adoptive families. Healing, attachment, connectivity, safety, and peace come through the power of Jesus, and we invite you to pray for the foster/adoptive families in the Central Valley. With many people not being educated on the phases of the foster care adoption process and its effect on those involved, people often ask us how they can specifically pray for this journey. Above all else, remember that God loves and cares for each of His creation and HIS WILL is what will come to be—pray for that first. The link below has some specific topics that many foster/adoptive families struggle with and would benefit from your intercessory prayers.
